Welcome to Isle of Wight MS Society

Thank you for viewing the MS Society Isle of Wight Group website
This is the only website where you can find specific information about The Isle of Wight MS Society.

This site provides an invaluable source of information about how the Island group is here to help.
Hopefully providing a taste of how we can enhance the lives of those with Multiple Sclerosis, carers, family and wider networks who are touched by this medical condition.

We do not pretend to have all the answers to all the questions but signpost you towards people who can help. What ever the topic, be it medical, support or transport, we will show you that you are not alone. Just a chance to chat with someone in a similar situation can be a real help.
Let’s stop MS together.

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service celebrates the work of a fantastic, diverse range of volunteer groups whose work has enhanced and supported local communities over a number of years. It is the highest award given to organizations delivering exceptional service within their communities and it is the equivalent of the MBE for volunteers. There are over 160,000 registered charities in the UK.

This year, 2020, there have been 230 awards granted. The Island Group of the MS Society are rightly very proud to be one of the recipients.

Group Coordinator, Paul Brading said:
‘I am absolutely delighted that all the great work everyone in the Group does has been recognised with this amazing award. I want to thank all the Volunteers, our Shop Manager, and my fellow committee members for their commitment to help make a difference to the many Islanders who are affected by MS, and their wider family group.’

It takes up to 5 times more energy for a person with MS to complete even the most simple task than it does for a person without MS.

Have a look and see what we do.
